INTERMEDIATE FOOD HYGIENE (Chartered Institute of Environmental Health) Who should attend?   This intermediate level course is designed for those working in all food  related businesses at supervisory & management level

This course will gain you a level 2 qualification focusing on good practice and procedures. The programme covers a defined syllabus.
A reasonable level of writing and comprehension ability is necessary to be successful in the standard written exam. Intermediate food is suitable for staff who are Supervisors, Managers & those working in Quality Assurance. This is a 3 day course plus a 2 hour examination.

Topics Covered include: -

• How to play an active part in monitoring food hygiene standards
• Being involved in training activities, especially on job training
• How to be equipped to effectively supervise food handlers on hygiene issues
• How to carry out hygiene audits
• Being able to assist in hazard analysis programmes
• Being able to help in the formulation and writing of hygiene policies, instructions etc.

There is also an Advanced Food Hygiene Course available. This course is suitable for those working with High Risk Processed Foods. This is a 6 day course plus an examination.
