The Lantra Rodent Management course is recognised by the Campaign for Responsible Rodenticide Use (CRRU) and is a requirement for those wanting to purchase professional rodenticides.
From January 2026 there are important changes in legislation that will affect many rodenticide users. 
Anybody wishing to purchase professional use rodenticide products must hold a stewardship-specific training certificate less than 5 years old, or an older certificate will be valid provided they are part of a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) scheme. 
For farmers and gamekeepers existing membership in Farm Assurance Schemes will no longer be enough to purchase rodenticide products, so a CRRU approved certificate within the last 5 years must also be held.
We offer this fully online training course and assessment in Level 2 Rodent Management which can be easily completed in your own home within 4-6 hours, and following successful completion will provide you with an e-certificate that will be valid for the next 5 years.
The £120+ VAT fee includes both the training and the online proctored assessment.
The training takes roughly 4-6 hours to complete the modules and is followed by an online proctored exam consisting of 30 multiple-choice questions. 
 
Proctored exams are timed exams that are taken whilst being remotely invigilated. The data recorded by the proctoring software is transferred to a proctoring service for review and is also subject to Lantra's quality assurance.
 
Once the Learner has booked the assessment, they will have 3 days (72 hours) to complete it. They can complete it at any time within this 3-day window and can do so at home or at work. They must ensure that they do this under exam conditions however as any violation will constitute an automatic fail.
 
Learners will require online access using suitable PC, laptop or tablet for the training, and the qualification assessment will also require a webcam, microphone and mobile phone (with a camera, that can be tethered to the computer). Guidance booklets and videos are downloadable from Lantra’s Rodent Management E-Learning page to assist Learners in preparing for their online assessment.The online proctored assessment takes approximately 60 minutes and the Learner will have 1 attempt.
 
Should the Learner fail the assessment and still wish to gain the qualification, they have the option of taking a resit – this is bookable via a second product which has also been assigned to you named Level 2 Award in Rodent Management RESIT ONLY and is bookable in exactly the same way as the standard product. The resit product however does not contain any training material.
