Summary / introduction:
 
This course is intended as a training-only course for Learners wishing to take the Safe Use of Pesticides Qualification. This qualification will provide you with the mandatory unit - Principles of the Safe Use and Application of Pesticides - needed before doing any other pesticide qualifications.

This qualification is in 2 parts: 
 
1. An E-Learning 'knowledge only', course. Here you can learn the information you need for the Safe Use of Pesticides. You can access the information as often as you want. The course gives tailor made advice and information for those who are responsible for the storage, handling and application of pesticides. Course content:-
The regulations regarding safe use of pesticides
Pesticide product information
Hazards and risks associated with pesticides
Personal safety when using pesticides
The measures to deal with pesticide poisoning
Safe working practices
The requirements for protected areas
Environmental risks and protection of wildlife
How to deal with incidents
Factors to consider when using pesticides.
  
Product delivery: online training
3 modules
Duration (approx) 3.0 - 3.5 hours
Equipment requirements: online access and suitable PC, laptop, tablet. This course contains audio and will require the use of speakers or headphones
Price: £95.00 + VAT 
Upon completion of the course you will be able to download your certificate of training.
 
2.  You will need to take your qualification with an approved assessment centre, following the course and this can be arranged for you.
 
Once you have completed the course you can contact East Kent Training to arrange your assessment. You can do an online assessment or join one of our regular assessment days in Lenham. You will be required to show evidence of your identity to the Assessment Centre before commencing the assessment.
Please note there will be an additional charge for the assessment.
Upon successful completion you will be emailed and posted your qualification certificate.
